Commercial Mediator

Suzanne is a CEDR accredited commercial mediator and a highly accomplished commercial litigator with over 17 years of dispute resolution experience, 14 years of which were spent working at a top global law firm. In addition to accepting direct appointments, Suzanne is on both the CEDR Commercial Mediation Panel and ADR Group’s Panel.

Suzanne trained with Hogan Lovells in London, qualifying into the firm’s market leading commercial litigation practice. During her time at the firm, she also completed secondments to the firm’s New York office and to the group litigation team at Standard Chartered Bank.

Suzanne’s dispute resolution experience is predominantly focused on high value, high profile banking and finance disputes, disputes arising out of contentious insolvency, director and/or shareholder disputes and general commercial disputes. It extends to a number of other practice areas including, private equity, real estate, pensions and intellectual property.

As a litigator, Suzanne's clients were generally multi-national corporations, banks, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and high net worth individuals. Her matters were typically multi-jurisdictional, usually with an international element.

Suzanne has been commended on the speed within which she gets to grips with the commercial complexities of a case and legal issues involved. She has also been noted for her ability to build rapport with those at all levels within an organisation.

Suzanne mediates a wide variety of disputes drawing on her experience as a litigator and her deep understanding of negotiation, influence, psychology, decision-making and behavioural economics; gleaned from extensive research, seminars and a Certification in Negotiation from Yale University.

Law firms and banks value her knowledge and expertise, inviting her to run masterclasses on effective negotiation, communication and getting the most out of mediation.

In addition to her commercial mediation practice, Suzanne is an active community mediator with Calm mediation, mediating conflicts between residents of local housing authorities across London.
